Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kabul

Arrive in Kabul and meet our team for a journey briefing. You will be given an Afghan outfit to blend with the local culture. If time permits, enjoy an introductory city tour including Bibi Mahru Hills, the lively Kabul Bird Market, and the National Museum, offering a first insight into Afghanistan’s rich history.
Overnight in Kabul.

Explore Kabul’s key cultural sites, including the Sakhi Shrine, Babur Gardens, Flag Hill for panoramic views, the National Museum, and the British Cemetery. Overnight in Kabul.

Travel to the scenic Panjshir Valley, visit the Tomb of Ahmad Shah Massoud, and enjoy time in the valley before returning to Kabul. Overnight in Kabul.

Drive through the central highlands to Bamyan. Visit the Buddha Niches and the historic ruins of Shahr-e Zuhak and Shahr-e Gholghola. Overnight in Bamyan.

Explore Bamyan Valley in the morning, then visit Band-e Amir National Park, famous for its turquoise lakes and dramatic landscapes, before returning to Kabul. Overnight in Kabul.

Drive to Ghazni to see the Minarets of Ghazni, the citadel, and the Tomb of Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni. Overnight in Ghazni.

Continue south to Kandahar, one of Afghanistan’s most historic cities. Arrival in the evening. Overnight in Kandahar.

Visit the Cloak Mosque, Chehel Zina, the Mausoleum of Mirwais Khan Hotak, and the Tomb of Ahmad Shah Abdali, followed by a walk through Kandahar’s bustling bazaars. Overnight in Kandahar.

Drive to Lashkargah and visit the ancient Bost Fortress. Time permitting, explore local markets and streets. Overnight in Lashkargah.

Travel west with a stop in Farah to see Koh-e Khwaja Fort and the old city, then continue to Herat, arriving late. Overnight in Herat.

Discover Herat’s cultural treasures, including the Friday Mosque, the Citadel of Herat, Gazar Gah shrine, the Mussalla Minarets, and Malan Bridge, with time in traditional bazaars. Overnight in Herat.

Fly from Herat to Kabul and catch your flight back home, marking the end of your journey across Afghanistan.
