Overview

This private 4-day trip offers a calm and well-paced way to explore Afghanistan, designed for one to five travelers, whether alone or with friends or family. Over four days, you’ll journey through bustling cities and the country’s central highlands, experiencing local markets, historic sites, and stunning natural landscapes. The itinerary moves at a steady pace to allow time for cultural and historical understanding, with all travel and activities arranged privately and tailored to your preferences. With a small group and personal attention, the experience feels relaxed, genuine, and thoughtfully planned, giving you a deeper connection to Afghanistan’s history, culture, and everyday life without feeling rushed.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Kabul

Arrive in Kabul and meet our team at the airport for pick-up and a tour briefing. You will be given an Afghan traditional outfit to wear during the tour, allowing you to blend in with locals and experience the culture more authentically. Begin sightseeing with a visit to the Sakhi Shrine, one of Kabul’s most important Shia mosques. Continue to the lively Kabul Bird Market and surrounding old streets, followed by a visit to the historic Babur Gardens, the final resting place of the Mughal emperor Babur.
Overnight in Kabul.

After breakfast, drive from Kabul to Bamyan through scenic mountain landscapes and rural villages. Upon arrival, visit the famous Buddha Niches and explore Shahr-e Gholghola, known as the “City of Screams,” an ancient fortress destroyed during the Mongol invasion.
Overnight in Bamyan.

Travel to Band-e Amir National Park, Afghanistan’s first national park, renowned for its deep-blue lakes formed by natural mineral dams. Enjoy time exploring the lakes before returning to Bamyan, with a stop at Dara-e Ajdahar (Dragon Valley), known for its unique rock formations and local legends.
Overnight in Bamyan.

Drive back to Kabul in the morning. Visit the War Museum for insight into Afghanistan’s recent history, then explore Chicken Street, a popular area for Afghan handicrafts, jewelry, and souvenirs. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
End of the trip.
