Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Kabul

Upon arrival in Kabul, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a tour briefing. To fully immerse yourself in Afghan culture, you will be given a traditional Afghan outfit to wear, helping you blend with the locals as you explore the city. Afterward, enjoy an introductory tour of Kabul with visits to the vibrant Bird Market, where local traders sell a variety of birds and pets, and the sacred Sakhi Shrine, a revered mosque for Shia Muslims.
Overnight in Kabul.

Early morning, take a domestic flight to Mazar-e-Sharif, the northern jewel of Afghanistan. Upon arrival, explore the ancient city of Balkh, visiting the Haji Payenda Mosque, Rabia Balkhi’s Tomb, and the historic Citadel of Balkh. Conclude the day with a visit to the famous Blue-Tiled Mosque of Hazrat Ali, also known as the Blue Mosque, an architectural masterpiece.
Overnight in Mazar-e-Sharif.

Today, venture to Samangan Province to discover the ancient Takht-i-Rustam, a Buddhist monastery carved into the mountainside, and nearby Buddhist caves, reflecting Afghanistan’s rich pre-Islamic heritage. After exploring, drive back to Mazar-e-Sharif for overnight.

Drive south towards Bamyan, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Hindukush Mountains via the Salang Pass. This scenic route, which crosses several valleys and high-altitude terrains, offers breathtaking views along the way. Arrive in Bamyan in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.

Spend the day exploring Bamyan’s remarkable heritage. Visit the Buddha Niches, once home to the world-famous Bamyan Buddhas, and explore the ancient fortress ruins of Shahr-e-Gholghola (City of Screams) and Shahr-e-Zuhak (Red City). These historic sites showcase Afghanistan’s rich Buddhist and pre-Islamic history.

Today, immerse yourself in Afghanistan’s natural beauty. Visit the stunning Band-e-Amir National Park, known for its deep blue lakes and dramatic limestone formations, a true haven for nature lovers. Continue to the nearby Dragon Valley (Darah-i-Ajdahar), a scenic valley with historic caves and breathtaking landscapes.
Overnight in Bamyan.

Drive back to Kabul, enjoying the changing landscapes of the Hindukush Mountains once again. Upon arrival, make stops at Shah Do Shamshira Mosque, an architectural gem in the heart of Kabul, and the scenic Bibi Mahro Hills for panoramic city views. Finally, transfer to the airport for your departure, concluding the tour.
